Shot a +12 last night on 18 holes, I'm very happy with that considering this sport is new to me. Much thanks to Corey Ed for some much needed tips out on the course.

Awesome! It took me a while before I got anywhere close to that range. I've only beaten that score 3 times. Good job.

Assuming that you play all 18 as par 3...then yes.

Found a Firebird? It's totally mine.

Well, my previous best was +3. Now it is +2 : )
I shot a +2 last Friday and then a +2 again yesterday.
I'm still looking for that even par or under : )

I have a new personal best,,, -1
I shot it on the 21st. I can finally say that I have shot under par now. My goal was to shoot under par by the end of the year. So now I'm gonna set a new goal and see if i can get it by the end of the year. I'll aim for -5. I doubt I'll get it, but we'll see what happens. I think I can shoot under par again if I keep coming out and working on all the little things that need tweaked, plus there's probably a few discs that I'd like to get.

I just set a new personal best of +4. (One birdie and 5 bogies, first ever round without a 5) I'm so flippin happy right now. :D And I even had 4 more legit birdie attempts that I messed up. So I could have broken even. Man I am so hyped for the upcoming year now. As much as I've been told that I should not throw warp speed drivers, I completely have to thank my new Nuke. That disc easily added 35-50 feet to my average teeshot. My longest throw of any kind before was about 290' on a softball diamond. I've not gotten near there on a golf line shot on a course. If I can trust the gps range finder app on my phone, I threw my first over 300' shot golf line shot (112 yrds/336'). Then my second, third and fourth. Now a little was on the bounce, but none of them rolled. I overshot 10, 11, and 17, and almost parked 16. For a disc I'd only thrown on one throw before today, I had way more consitency with it than I expected. Though I did have a few shanks. I also tried out a new 175 Champ XCal, that I liked some, but it wasn't as overstable as I had anticipated. It flew more like my Champ Orc, but a tad longer. Maybe I need to make my goal for the year to finally go sub par, and finally play in a tourney (though the latter is more a schedule issue than anything).

Nice to see your game improving! Feb. 20th is the Ice Bowl! :D Giving all the money to the food bank. Hey Blue, do you think the MPD would help sponsor the tournament in some way?

Honestly, if it costs money then I doubt it. The department is tighter than..... well I better not finish that one. But I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask. I don't want to make it sound like more than it is, but you might have better luck asking the FOP (Fraternal Order of Police). One of the guys on the board is an occasional player. I can ask him and another guy on my shift who is the VP of our FOP now about it. Are you just looking for any kind of money or would a certain level get some kind of name recognition? Or maybe just enough money to pay a couple officers OT to work security for the tourney? Let me know what you think and I can try to run the idea by them. Again, I don't want to guarantee anything, especially since we tried to get the FOP to sponsor our softball team last year (which had 4 Muncie cops and about 6 BSU cops on it), and the FOP blew us off. But there's new people in charge now, so who knows? But again it never hurts to ask. Just let me know exactly what to ask them.

I just hate how tourneys dont really jive with a midnight shift scehdule unless I'd be on vacation. But I will have to play one at some point.
